An original, uncut copy of Super Mario Bros sold at auction for an incredible amount of money: $114,000. It’s the most expensive Video Game ever.

Super Mario Bros rewrites a new record. With a purchase price of $114,000, it officially became the most expensive video game ever. After winning this title with a similar cartridge (purchased for just over $100,000 in 2019), as reported by CNN, this copy of the game produced in 1985 for Nintendo Entertainment System has rewritten a new page of history in the video game world.

The confirmation came first and foremost from the “Heritage Auction” auction house in Dallas, which handled the lot: “In addition to becoming the most expensive video game ever”, the company says, “this copy of Super Mario Bros is undoubtedly the one that got the highest score: 9.4 out of 10”. Secondly, the verdict was also written on Twitter by journalist Chris Kohler, an expert in the field of video games.
